PRETTY

King Winter finaly came to my garden. Much to my regret, cos however pretty he makes my garden I do not like him, alas I do not have the power to sent him away as I am just an ordinary woman. At the moment the days are short and dark and wet wet wet and windy and I am already making plans for Spring hoping Winter will be short and friendly…..

I took some pictures for you  of my garden on our first day of Winter.

JUST A FEW PICTURES

IT REALLY IS AUTUMN NOW, WE STILL HAVE SOME BEAUTIFUL DAYS WITH SUNSHINE AND BLUE SKIES, NOT TOO WARM BUT WARM ENOUGH TO SPENT SOME TIME AUTSIDE IN THE GARDEN, THERE ARE STILL FLOWERS EVERYWHERE BUT YOU CAN SEE THEY HAD THEIR BEST TIME.

MALUS GOLDEN HORNET, THE BIRDS PREFER THE RED MINI APPLES BUT WHEN THE REDS ARE ALL EATEN  THEY DO EAT THESE YELLOW ONES, I LOVE TO USE THEM IN FLOWER ARRANGEMENTS

DSC01049 (2)

AUCUBA JAPONICA, ONE OF MY FAVORITE BUSHES, IT IS WINTERGREEN AND LOOKS SUNNY COS OF THE YELLOW SPOTS, IT PREFERS A SHADY PLACE SO I HAVE THEM IN THE CORNERS OF MY GARDEN AND WHEN I LOOK AT THEM IN WINTER IT IS AS IF THE SUN IS SHINING, EVEN ON A DARK DAY. YOU CAN EVEN USE IT A S A POTPLANT INSIDE IN A COOL HALLWAY.
